The group was popular in the early 1970s. While simplistic, their songs were catchy rock tunes that quickly caught radio audiences’ attention.

I grew up loving Bachman Turner Overdrive. David is not such a big fan but I can sit back and listen to BTO all day long.

One of my friends once made a joke about how all their songs were the same three chords played in different arrangements. We finally agreed that it was probably more like the same four chords, but they found a lot of cool ways to make the songs sound unique and different.
